SOUND & VOICE

Audio Cleanup

Noise reduction, rumble cut, de-ess, hum removal and a compressor, on any clip.

Plan

AI credits
No AI credits. It runs on every plan at no extra cost.

What it does

Every audio clip has a Cleanup section: Noise reduction (a spectral denoiser applied in the export), Low cut for rumble, a Gate for room tone, De-ess for harsh S sounds and Mains hum removal at 50 or 60 Hz. A compressor, a limiter and a three-band EQ sit beside them.

Normalize raises a clip so its loudest moment sits near full scale. For a consistent final level, tick loudness matching in the export dialog, which targets -14 LUFS. These tools clean up a recording; they do not separate a voice from music.

How to use it

  1. Select an audio or video clip and open the A/V tab.
  2. Turn on Noise reduction, Low cut, De-ess or Mains hum as needed.
  3. Listen back, then export with loudness matching on.

Who it is for

  • Creators recording in untreated rooms
  • Interviewers with fan or traffic noise
  • Podcasters evening out levels

Questions about Audio Cleanup

Can it remove music from behind a voice?

No. These tools reduce noise, rumble and hum. Separating a voice from music is not something Vidmoat does.

Is Normalize the same as loudness matching?

No. Normalize sets a clip by its loudest peak. Loudness matching, in the export dialog, sets the whole mix to -14 LUFS.

Does the preview sound exactly like the export?

Close, but noise reduction is applied fully in the export. Listen to the exported file for the final result.
