Isolate an Object in Video

Pick one object, and Vidmoat masks it through the clip so you can cut it out, colour-pop it or blur the rest.

Plan
Every plan, Hobby (free) included
AI credits
5 credits per second of source, 5 credits minimum.
Good to know
Colour pop uses a premium effect, so exporting it needs Creator or Studio. Blur background exports on every plan.

What it does

Click an object in the preview, or type what it is, and Vidmoat tracks that one object through the clip and builds a mask for it. Then Cut out keeps just the object, Colour pop keeps it in colour while the rest goes grey, and Blur background softens everything behind it.

A mask covers up to 60 seconds of source per job. It is made for one object at a time, and across hard cuts it can jump to a similar object, so check the result. Reversed, frozen or speed-ramped clips are not supported.

How to use it

  1. Select a video clip and open the Object section in the inspector’s FX tab.
  2. Press Pick in preview and click the object, or Find and type its name.
  3. Choose Cut out, Colour pop or Blur background, then review and export.

Who it is for

  • Creators making a subject pop
  • Product videos that need a clean cut-out
  • Editors putting titles behind a person
