What it does

Shots from different cameras, or different times of day, rarely cut together cleanly. Colour match measures a reference shot and moves the others towards it: exposure, white balance and contrast, plus saturation when the white balance shift is small.

It deliberately never rotates hue, adds a LUT or a vignette, so skin stays natural. Use it from the Storyboard view’s Match colour button, or ask an assistant connected over MCP.

How to use it

  1. Pick the shot whose colour you want the others to follow.
  2. Press Match colour in the Storyboard view, or ask your MCP assistant to match the clips.
  3. Review the result and refine any clip in the Adjust tab.

Who it is for

  • Multi-camera shooters
  • Creators mixing phone and camera footage
  • Editors building scenes from several takes

Questions about Colour Match

Does it change hue or add a LUT?

No. It adjusts exposure, white balance and contrast, and saturation only when the white balance change is small.

How many clips can I match at once?

Up to 12 clips to one reference.

Can I tweak the result?

Yes. The match is written as normal grade values you can edit.
