- 40 credits per recording.
- Good to know
- Available through the MCP server.
What it does
Over the Vidmoat MCP server, an assistant like Claude can open a public web page in a real browser, follow up to 40 steps (click, type, scroll) and save the session as a video in your library, ready to cut into a product demo.
Live sessions let the assistant look at the page between steps. Idle gaps are cut out of the footage, and pages behind a login need a session secret you store first.
How to use it
- Connect Vidmoat to your assistant over MCP.
- Ask it to record a walkthrough of a page, listing the steps.
- Find the recording in your media library and edit it like any clip.
Who it is for
- SaaS founders making product demos
- Developers documenting a feature
- Marketers making launch videos
Questions about Website Demo Recorder
Can it record pages behind a login?
Yes, once you store a session secret for that site. Without one it records public pages only.
How long can a recording be?
A recording holds a browser for up to three minutes, and a live session stops after twelve.
Where do I start it?
From an assistant connected to Vidmoat over MCP, such as Claude or ChatGPT.
