Getting started

Desktop and mobile apps

The desktop app is in beta for Windows and Apple Silicon. There is no released phone app yet.

The desktop app

Free, in beta, and downloaded from the download page on the website. Two builds exist today:

  • Windows 10 or 11, x64.
  • macOS 11 or later, Apple Silicon only. It is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple. There is no Intel Mac build, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight.

Linux is shown as coming soon and has no build.

The reason to use it is local files. Footage on your own disk streams straight into the editor with no upload, so a 10 GB source edits like a small one and your plan's per-file upload cap stops applying to those files. Agent Mode, scripting and auto-captions are all present: it is the same editor, not a cut-down one, and your projects, plan and AI credits are shared between web and desktop.

The trap worth knowing. A clip added from local disk in the desktop app exists only on that machine. Open the project on the web and it shows ⚠ Desktop-only file, and an export from the web will refuse, naming the clip. Either export from the desktop app, or upload that file so it lives in the cloud.

The phone app

There is no published iOS or Android app. It is built but it is not in the App Store or on Google Play, so there is nothing you can install today. Any store badge you find on the site currently sends you to the desktop download page instead.

Use the web editor in a mobile browser in the meantime. It lays out differently: the panels become a bottom tab bar reading Media, Properties, AI and Timeline. The preview also drops its resolution while you scrub or play and snaps back to full quality the moment you stop. That softness during a drag is expected and never reaches the exported file.

Did that not cover it?

Send us a ticket and we will answer. If you are signed in it arrives with your plan and any recent errors attached, so you do not have to describe them.
