Exporting

Downloading and sharing a finished video

Where the file goes, how to get a public link, and how long exports are kept.

Getting the file

When a render finishes, the export dialog shows an Export ready block with Open in a new tab and Download. We also open the file in a new tab automatically, which some browsers block, which is why the dialog stays open with the links still there.

Finding it later

Every finished export is in the Exports tab of the dashboard, newest first, with a thumbnail. It lives there whether or not the tab was open when it finished. Each card links to the file and has a Delete export button.

If it is empty you will see No exports yet.

A public link anyone can watch

Use Get a share link on a finished export. It creates a public page at a /watch address that anyone with the link can open, with a proper preview image and title when it is pasted into a chat or a social post.

Sharing is opt-in: nothing is public until you make it so. Make private turns it off again at any time, and you can re-share later. You can only share a render that has actually finished.

How long exports are kept

There is no automatic expiry, so a finished export is not deleted after a set number of days. But exports are deleted with their project. Delete the project and its rendered files go immediately, including any share link. Download anything you care about, or keep the project.

Deleting your account deletes all of it.

Posting it to a platform

Publishing to YouTube and the rest is a separate flow. See the Creator Studio article for which platforms can actually post today, and note that posting copies the file so the post outlives the project.

What sharing does not do

A share link is view-only. It does not let anyone edit your project. Editing access only happens through a team, or through the paid expert handoff.

Did that not cover it?
