Credits are spent by AI work only. Ordinary editing costs nothing: cutting, trimming, text, effects, colour, transitions, exporting and storage are all unmetered.
What each thing costs
- Agent edit: 5 credits for the first step of a run, then 3 for each further step.
- Auto captions: 10 credits. Transcribing clip by clip from the Transcript panel is free, because it runs on your device.
- AI voiceover: 15 credits, up to 1,000 characters.
- AI sticker: 20 credits.
- AI image: 60 credits.
- AI video: 80 credits per second of output, up to 15 seconds, so 400 to 1,200 credits per clip.
- Video understanding: 6 credits per minute of video, rounded up.
When they reset
Your plan's allowance refills on a rolling 30 day cycle. Hobby is 40 a month, Creator 1,500, Studio 6,000, and Team pools 2,000 per seat.
The reset raises your balance to the allowance and never lowers it. If you are already above it, you stay above it.
Credit packs never expire
One-time packs are Boost 200 credits for $5, Stack 500 for $10, and Vault 1,200 for $20. They land in the same balance and the monthly reset never takes them away, so buying a pack the day before your month rolls over does not waste it. They are sold from the pricing page.
Subscriptions are a better rate per credit than packs. Packs are for a burst.
Upgrading mid-month
Upgrading raises your balance to at least the new plan's allowance immediately, restarts your credit month from that moment, and resets your export count. Anything you already had above the new allowance, such as a pack, is kept.
Team credits
If a team pays for you, the team's shared pool is spent first and your own balance is the fallback, so you are not quietly burning credits you bought yourself. When the pool runs dry mid-month, work continues from your own balance rather than stopping.
Out of credits
Out of AI credits (N needed). Upgrade your plan or wait for the monthly reset. Your options are to upgrade, buy a pack, or wait for the reset. There are also free credits available for things you were probably going to do anyway, which has its own article.
If a number looks wrong
Tell us. The usage page in the dashboard shows credits spent, refunded and net over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, and the support form attaches your balance automatically, so we see what you see.
